The Challenge
Cooper Green Mercy Hospital is the only publicly run hospital in Jefferson County, and the only one dedicated to indigent care. The client’s most pressing need is to create a Year-long wellness campaign that speaks to the hospitals two distinct targets - the patients and the politicians. The campaign’s goal is to change the perception of the hospital by creating opportunities for the public to view the facilities and interact with the staff to grow the patient count.
The Resource
The hospital has many patient targets and sub-targets. Therefore, the resources we employed for this campaign entailed the partnership with our station 98.7 KISSFM, along with the “The Tom Joyner Morning Show’s” Take a Loved One to the Doctor Day Event, local colleges, TV partner, and many non-profit health advocacy groups - all coming together to create community outreach events throughout the year.
The Idea
The hospital has many patient targets and sub-targets. The resources we employed for this campaign entailed the partnership with our station, along with the “The Tom Joyner Morning Show’s” Take a Loved One to the Doctor Day Event, local colleges, TV partner, and many non-profit health advocacy groups - all coming together to create community outreach events throughout the year.
The Results
Each event far exceeded the client’s expectations. Take A Loved One to the Doctor Day screened 300 people and more importantly, was able to reach 2 adult men whose blood pressure was dangerously high and had to be admitted to the hospital that day! And both the Men’s Health and College Summit Events drew record screenings.
