Hi. I'm Lisa Mason. Thanks for clicking this link to find out more about the strange lady who does the morning show on the New 106.9 The Eagle, Birmingham's Classic Hits Station. I genuinely appreciate your interest but sadly I really hate writing about myself, it seems so self centered and vain. I mean, you've got other things to do than listen to egotistic ramblings that so - OK. Sorry. Hurricane Shane's told me twice now to get this finished "or else." He just yelled at me again so here we go... LIKES I try to learn a little bit about everything. Science pretty dresses, chocolate. Egyptology, ponies, space, staying in shape, books, history. I like watching my husband redo the tile in our home because that means I'm not doing it. Yoga, the ocean, good people, art. I think the more you can learn in this life the more fun you'll have. THINGS THAT BUG ME I just deleted the huge list I typed because there's plenty these days that gets under my skin. To sum up, I'll just say "idiocy." So many situations can be avoided with just a little knowledge and thought. BEST CONCERTS I'll admit it, I'm a bit of a recluse and don't often get in the middle of a crowd but made an exception when Joan Jett let me hang out with her backstage last time she was in town. The Eagles and Pink Floyd are amazing live... and on DVD. BIRTHDAY November 22. This means I'm on the cusp of Scorpio and Sagittarius! What does THAT mean? Probably that I'll be a homicide victim. ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIES I'm a geek. I will watch "Star Wars" anytime. I may or may not have a quote from "Princess Bride" inside my wedding ring. My current fave is the locally-shot film "Interplanetary." Great script, great people to work with, and I got to play the bad guy. It's horror, it's comedy, it's action, it's a hoot if you love working in a corporate office. Check it out here... DESERT ISLAND DISCS I can't leave home without Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here," and (ahem) "Black Sunday" from Cyprus Hill. Just to make you say "huh" I'd bring the Levine production of "Der Ring Des Niebelungen." I'm always packing AC-DC's "Back in Black." Hopefully I'll also be stranded with a CD player and a portable Tesla Coil for electricity. FIRST ALBUM YOU BOUGHT With my own money? Def Leppard's "Pyromania." I've re-purchased it in every format available. I still adore that album/CD/MP3 today. RECENT BOOKS I'VE READ This is hard since I'm always reading something. This summer I've blazed through all of the old Robert E Howard "Conan" books. Introductory Genetics, ah good grief the list is so long. Here's what I haven't read: the books my Mom loaned me. FIRST JOB I think I'm on it right now. Don't tell my parents, they think I'm still in school getting a Master's in Physics. That's about it. Thanks for taking the time to stop by my link. Now I'm going over to Hurricane's page to see how he answered this survey... and will then change my answers to make his look silly. |
